The Long Road South

Think this sounds like a good idea?

Help us by contributing to The Long Road South. A little goes a long way, a lot goes even farther.  A couple buck buys a meal in most of the countries we'll be riding through, $20 buys us A/C for a night in Central America, $50 pays for a full day on the road, $150 gets us through Honduras, $400 gets us through El Salvador, $1,350 covers passage through Columbia.  Little by little we can cover some ground.

Welcome to the electronic headquarters for the Long Road South - a handcycle/bicycle expedition unlike any ever attempted.  In the fall of 2013, Seth McBride and Kelly Schwan will be heading on a yearlong, 10,000 mile ride from Portland, Oregon to Patagonia, Argentina to help raise awareness for the importance of daily physical activity for all, regardless of situation or ability.  Seth will be the first person with quadriplegia to complete a Panamerican cycle tour, and the expedition will be the first trans-continental cycle tour involving a disabled athlete that is self-supported - no crew, no vans, just two bikes, a trailer, and all the gear needed to camp, ride, and live for a year. The Long Road South is actively fundraising and seeking sponsors to help make this dream a reality.  Use the link above to donate directly to the expedition, or contact us with any ways you might be able to help get us a little farther down the road.
